DISCLOSURE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 13 and Article 14 of Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data, as well as on the free movement of such Data (General Regulation on Data Protection, hereinafter, also GDPR), which repeals Directive 95/46/EC.

We are informing you that Personal Data made available to BAT S.p.A. will be processed in compliance with the current legislation on the Protection of Personal Data and, in any case, the principles of confidentiality that inspire the Company’s activities.

1. Categories of Personal Data processed 

BAT S.p.A.will process the following Personal Data provided by the concerned party:

  • Personal data (such as: name, surname, email, landline or mobile telephone)

Personal Data are not accompanied by any additional personal information.

The legal basis that legitimizes the processing of data is the consent freely given by the concerned party.

 

2. Purpose of processing
Personal Data provided by the concerned party are collected and processed for the following purposes
a. if consent has been granted, for the periodic delivery of newsletters by email
b. if consent has been granted, to receive updates on our activities and reports about postings on our site;
c. if consent has been granted, to receive communication and invitations to events
The legal basis that legitimizes the processing of data is the consent freely given by the concerned party.

3. Nature of conferment
For the collected data that are part of our database (Customer records) and the provision of data:

  • with respect to the purposes referred to in letters a), b) and c), conferment is also optional, use of data is contingent upon granting of an explicit consent.
  • any refusal in this regard, will make it impossible for BAT S.p.A. to send newsletters, updates and invitations.


4.Processing methods and data retention timeframe.
The personal data of the data subject will be processed by means of suitable paper and electronic means strictly related to the aforementioned purposes and, in any case, in such a way as to guarantee the Data security and confidentiality.
Data are kept for the time strictly necessary to handle the purposes for which they were collected, in compliance with current regulations and legal obligations.
In any case, BAT S.p.A. applies rules that prevent the retention of data indefinitely and, therefore, limits storage time, in compliance with the principle of minimization of data processing.

 

5. Data Processors and Data Communication
The processing of collected data is carried out by BAT S.p.A. internal staff, specifically appointed for this purpose, according to specific instructions provided in compliance with current legislation. Staff will:

  • Not transfer data or make them available to third parties, partially or totally
  • Not use data for any reason, except for the purposes indicated in), b), and c), above
  • Process data in a transparent manner, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation on data processing

Collected data may also be transferred abroad, to companies that are not part of our corporate group, even outside the European Union, in the forms and with methods envisaged by current legislation, guaranteeing in any case an adequate level of protection.

Data of the concerned party will not be disseminated.


6. Rights of the concerned party
At any time with regard to their Personal Data, the Data Subject may exercise the rights provided within the limits and under the conditions set forth in Articles 7 and 15-22 of the Regulation.
In detail, the concerned party has the right to:

  • access data
  • object to processing or request the cancellation, modification or updating of all personal information collected by BAT S.p.A., by sending an e-mail to info@batgroup.com.


7. Data Controller
The Data Controller is BAT S.p.A., with registered office in Noventa di Piave (VE), ZI est via Henry Ford, in the person of its Legal Representative.
Any request relating to Personal Data processed by BAT S.p.A. may be sent to the Company’s registered office, or by writing to: info@batgroup.com.
